From doggy daycares to dog washes to descriptions of every dog park in the region, you can find it here. We're happy to announce our Dog-Friendly Lodging Guide is now online. Covering all of Oregon and parts of SW Washington, the guide is divided into 8 sections. We have the first 5 sections complete, and will be bringing the remaining 3 sections online in the next couple of weeks. Bear with us as we put the finishing touches on the guide, and do let us know if you see any inaccuracies. Should you notice that your favorite dog-friendly hotel is not listed, feel free to drop us an email and we'll check it out. Happy trails...happy tails!!

March for Mutts Expo

Stop by North Clackamas Park on March 6 for the March for Mutts Expo -- a morning of canine activities, vendors, and treats. Help Find Tivoli His Forever Home In 2010!

Tivoli was abandoned and left to die near Prineville, OR in 2008. He was found on the side of the road banged up pretty bad with burns over 90% of his body. He has since made a miraculous recovery and is now looking for his forever home. He's currently living at The Humane Society of the Ochocos. If you know someone who would make a good parent for this big sweetheart of a dog, contact the humane society at 541-447-7178. Rose City Classic Dog Show

It's the time of year again...time for the Rose City Classic Series of Dog Shows. The show is one of the largest and most successful dog events in the United States. It spans 5 days, starting on Jan 20 with 20 specialty (single breed) shows and continuing with four days of all-breed dog shows, obedience (including Rally) and agility trials. Oregon Humane Society Undergoing Two Major Rescues, Over 150 Dogs

This week the Oregon Humane Society responded to 2 separate incidents involving hundreds of neglected dogs. The first rescue occurred in Eastern Oregon, in the small town of Princeton, where OHS rescued 79 dogs that were living outside in horrendous conditions (in old oil drums and in underground holes). The second rescue occurred in Tillamook, OR where 98 rat terriers were rescued after a local breeder agreed to surrender her dogs. This is the largest rescue in such a short period of time that OHS has ever performed, and they are in need of your support as their shelter is strained to capacity. Project Pooch Makes it to the Final Four

Local organization Project POOCH has made it to the "final four" of Rachael Ray's canine competition, Mutt Madness. Based on the NCAA March Madness, the bracket-style competition asks that voters select their favorite shelter. The top prize is $50,000; second prize is $25,000. Gabriel Park & Bark Grand Opening!

Gabriel Park & Bark is celebrating the Grand Opening of their new doggy daycare/boarding facility this Saturday (11/21). Take a Dog for a Test Drive

On the second Saturday of each month, the Red Lizard Running Club opens up their Saturday morning run in Lake Oswego to some new four-legged friends. Volunteers from Multnomah County Animal Shelter transport some highly adoptable dogs that could benefit from a little exercise.
